Since 2020 the City of Stratford has been offering an outdoor patio program for eligible businesses to extend their patio space. Through this opportunity, eligible businesses can apply to have a standard outdoor café, patio-boardwalk extension, or pop-up patio. For more details on these different types of patios, the 2022 guidelines can be accessed in the Outdoor Patio Documents section at right.
Prior to each patio season, City staff update the Outdoor Patio Guidelines through the collection of feedback and by identifying enhancements to program supports and requirements. As the guidelines for the 2023 season have not yet been finalized, the 2022 guidelines have been made available for review when visiting this page and considering feedback to share for 2023.
The purpose of this outreach page is to seek feedback from businesses, residents, and visitors with respect to the future of the Outdoor Patio Program. Comments and feedback provided through this site will be analyzed by staff in preparation for the 2023 patio season with survey responses being consolidated into an information report to Council.
The last day to provide responses via survey was February 2, 2023. Thank you to those who participated.
