Stratford City Council has tasked the MAT (Municipal Accommodation Tax) Ad-Hoc Committee with creating a policy to establish how to allocate funds raised from accommodation taxes paid by overnight guests in the City of Stratford.
The City of Stratford allocates 50% of the MAT revenue to Destination Stratford to use for generating, promoting and supporting tourism in Stratford. The MAT Ad-Hoc Committee is currently working to create a policy to guide how the remaining 50% of the funds will be used.
The Ad-Hoc Committee would like your input regarding a proposed application-driven model that would allow event organizers to apply for funding to support their initiatives.
Please give us your feedback by completing the brief survey below, which will be available until June 24, 2026.
