A warm, kind, positive city that welcomes all

I find that with economic (job security, income, food) pressures, social pressures, and political pressures this city is becoming a more negative and toxic place to live. I understand that times are tough; however, there is a very vocal minority who seem to boom the loudest about everything they see as wrong with Stratford - rarely does this group position the good. They simply dampen morale and create division.

In the future (Vision): I'd like to see Stratford be a place where the positive majority is louder and has more sway that the negative minority who perpetually complain about everything and do nothing. More opportunities for diverse perspectives to be shared and voices to be heard is what this town needs.

Action: I'd like to see more involvement in community building and community events across genders, generations, and racial and ethnic groups. I would like to see more women represented on Boards, in leadership positions that matter, and on city council. More events, activities, and opportunities for everyone to come together in equity across our community will be helpful in creating a strong Stratford that is welcoming and a place where people want to live.
