The City of Stratford is preparing to reconstruct Daly Avenue from St. Vincent Street South to Birmingham Street and Birmingham Street from Daly Avenue to Worsley Street, beginning in the Summer of 2026. The project will replace underground infrastructure and renew the roadway and sidewalks.

The specific improvements scheduled for this street are:

  • Upgrade the existing storm sewer, sanitary sewer and water mains.
  • Replace existing sanitary, storm and water services to the property line.
  • Upgrade the asphalt roadway, curb and gutter, and sidewalk.
  • Construction of one sidewalk on the north side of Daly Avenue (eliminating the south sidewalk).
  • Construction of two sidewalks on Birmingham Street.
  • Removal of trees in poor health or in conflict with infrastructure renewal.
  • Street tree planting.

Your participation is voluntary. All individual responses are submitted as part of an open online and public process. Comments received will be summarized and provided in a report to Stratford City Council in accordance with the provisions of the MFIPPA.
