What is this project about?
The City of Stratford is preparing to extend the O'Loane trunk sanitary sewer from Riddell Drive across Huron Street to Galt Road.
The purpose of the sanitary trunk sewer is to improve servicing in the area and enable further development in the city's north sector. The project is currently in the design stage, with tendering planned for Spring 2025 and construction planned for later in 2025.
The sanitary trunk will be installed via trenchless methods to limit the impact on the general public and shorten the duration of the work. During construction, the north leg of the O’Loane Avenue and Huron Street intersection will be closed between Huron Street and Galt Road. Lane restrictions will also be in place on the south side of Huron Street to Riddell Drive, though two-way traffic on the south side of Huron Street will be maintained. Pedestrian access will remain available at all times.
